What to Make of TabTrade - A New CFD Broker in 2026

The Broker - The Short Version

TabTrade.com went live in Q1 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.

That last detail is relevant. It suggests the leadership knows how a proper broker operates. That is not a guarantee. It is preferable to a founder with no industry background.

TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix data centre access in London. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Usually a new brokerage focuses on ads and sign-up promos. These guys led with infrastructure. Not the typical playbook.

The instrument list: forex, stock indices, metals, commodities, shares, crypto, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For a broker that launched in March 2026, that range is not narrow.

The Software

They offer: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Two major platforms from one account. Many only give you one or the other. Having both makes a difference. Pick what suits your style.

MT5 is the default. Complete charts, EAs, massive community. If you have traded on MT4 or MT5 previously, there are no surprises.

cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better DOM. Smoother chart interaction. cBot support. A lot of traders find it more natural once they try it.

Direct FIX connectivity is available for bots but requires the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is reportedly in the works. That should round things out once it is live.

Accounts and Pricing

Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. No commission. Easy to track. $0 to start. Good for people who want simple pricing.

Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the actual interbank spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. So your actual cost per trade sometimes sits under half a pip. That is good for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most brokers that have spreads this tight ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. This broker does not.

VIP. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, faster fills, tailored rates. Not something typical accounts. Do not worry about it unless you move real size.

Infrastructure

The speed is where TabTrade separates from most new launches. Equinix data centres. Under 30ms on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. Those are institutional numbers. Most retail brokers quote 100ms to 300ms.

Should you care? If you trade small timeframes, it does. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is the difference between. If you swing trade, you will not notice. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That says something about priorities.

Combine that infrastructure with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get makes sense. Few brokers in this bracket have infrastructure at this level.

Safety

This is the detail that matters. TabTrade is under Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No CySEC. No government-backed safety net. If that is a dealbreaker, stop reading. There are tier-1 alternatives out there.

That said. The founder spent years at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is not cheap. Scam brokers do not bother with Equinix connectivity. None of this make it safe. It should inform how you think about it.

The trade-off: you give up tier-1 protection. In exchange: high leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether that makes sense comes down to your priorities.

Welcome Offer

Tab Trade offers a welcome bonus of up to $2,000. Usual sign-up bonus. You put money in, the broker top up your balance. The normal fine print: turnover conditions before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Review the fine print before funding.
